Version 2.0 Updates
Now that the game jam is over, I have made some updates to improve the player experience. I do intend to do at least a little bit more in improving this project, but I wanted to rush out these changes as soon as I could based on the feedback received within the game jam. Changes are as follows:
-Added player animation for winding up a jump, as well as a power meter to indicate the charge rate of the jump
-Caused Rope Hands to be considered "defeated" when shaken off, preventing repeated re-grabs
-Leveled out the floor and adjusted spider webs so that players would not need to jump out of a pit if caught in certain webs
-Redesigned certain platforming sections to eliminate the need for previously moving platforms, which tended to stop working randomly
-Adjusted the field of view hit detection of Iron Maiden enemies and added line of sight indication so as to improve general transparency of what is considered a danger zone
-Fixed sizing of Game Over images to better suit the current screen resolution
-Fixed the way the foot faces in the Rope Hands Game Over screen so that it doesn't look like she has a broken ankle
-Made minor adjustments to some interactable hitboxes and added a "pressed button" sprite for the trapdoor button
